Team Haemophilia Education Meeting

Delivering best care: Promoting the integration of multiple outcomes in the
lifetime of persons with haemophilia

1920 May 2016 | Frankfurt, Germany

Chaired by Professor Erik Berntorp
Lund University, Skåne University Hospital, Malmö, Sweden

Welcome

It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the second THE Meeting, a congress of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, researchers and other medical professionals from across Europe. During this event, the latest scientific developments in the management of haemophilia will be reviewed, with a particular focus on an integrative and multidisciplinary approach to haemophilia treatment throughout a patient’s lifetime.

Building on the success of the 2015 event, the 2016 programme has been fully tailored to all members of the treatment team by our multidisciplinary Steering Committee, and will feature plenaries, debates and interactive workshops with a wide-ranging faculty of leading specialists. Topics will include:

  • Lifetime patient management
  • Management of haemophilia across Europe
  • Future therapies
  • Strategies and cost of care
  • Collecting and using real life data

As well as the opportunity for networking and discussion with experts in the field, delegates will also be given the chance to share their own research and contribute to the goal of improving patient care. Meeting programmes and invitations will be sent out in the upcoming weeks, and I hope you will be able to attend this exciting event.

Kind regards,

Erik Berntorp, MD PhD
